This roster is a working record of men from Estill, Powell, and Menifee Counties who served in the 8th Kentucky Infantry. It is being compiled from printed rosters, wartime newspaper reports, military service records, and local research.
Because some printed lists appear to be incomplete, this page may continue to grow as additional names and service details are confirmed. The goal is not simply to copy one source, but to preserve as complete and accurate a record as possible for the men of these counties who answered the call.
